A new high-tech x-ray screening system for hold luggage was inaugurated in Palermo in the presence of the Consul General of the United States, Tracy Roberts-Pounds, and the GES.A.P. “Falcone Borsellino” (Management Company of Palermo International Airport).
This is the first Italian airport where this machine made in the United States is installed. We are talking about the SureScan x1000 system supplied by Gilardoni. The two companies have been collaborating for quite some time now.
Faster and safer airport baggage check operations, TSA 7.2 certified and ECAC standard 3.0 and 3.1 approved
The new system is Tsa 7.2 certified and Ecac standard 3.0 and 3.1 approved and it meets the mandatory parameters required by European and American legislations on safety.
The President of Gilardoni, Marco Gilardoni, and the head of SureScan commercial area, Fabrizio Masciocchi, were also present.
Given the historic collaboration between Palermo Airport and Gilardoni, today is an important day. The introduction of the system will guarantee faster baggage control operations, making all the activities more fluent.
