On Saturday, March 28th, for the 2026 edition of Family Day, Gilardoni opened its doors to welcome over 80 people, including employees, family members, and—above all—many curious children eager to discover “where mom and dad work.”
The initiative stems from a desire to break down the walls between professional and private life, allowing families to see firsthand the real impact Gilardoni technologies have on the safety and health of us all.

The tour was designed to showcase the entire company ecosystem, blending the charm of traditional craftsmanship with the precision of X-ray and ultrasound diagnostics. After a brief introduction, the tour moved through the departments of our headquarters:
- Tube Department and the Art of Glassblowing: one of the most evocative areas of the company, where glass is shaped to create the core components of our systems. A fascinating contrast between traditional art and the high-tech performance required today.
- Security and Baggage Screening: children and adults alike were able to literally see “inside” suitcases, understanding how our scanners protect airports and sensitive areas worldwide, ensuring safe travels for millions of passengers.
- Non-Destructive Testing (NDT): a focus on heavy mechanics, featuring demonstrations of X-ray booths for industrial tomography—used in various sectors from automotive to food and art—and ultrasound systems, which are essential for railway safety in preventing failures and accidents.
- Medical Systems: a presentation of our flagship instrument for blood irradiation, a vital support for the clinical activities of hospitals and research laboratories.
- Offices: the final stop to see “mom and dad’s” desks.

The day wasn’t just about observation, but active participation. The youngest guests turned into “little scientists” with an interactive quiz about the curiosities of the various departments.
