SECURITY PRODUCTS
The security products are based on dual-energy X-ray technology.
They are able to detect dangerous or unlawful objects or substances.
Our systems work automatically or by means of an operator.
They perform their task by displaying the content of luggage, packs and parcels thanks to the capability of X-rays to penetrate the material and to change their spectrum depending on the material properties.
Such systems are used to control hand and hold baggage.
These systems can be further classified as semiautomatic or automatic units, according to the operator's role in order to identify the potential threats found in the examined luggage.
Generally the configuration of such systems is as follows:
- - One operator console for operation control;
- - The inspection tunnel where the detectors and X-ray tube are installed;
- - One conveyor belt to carry the luggage through the tunnel;
- - Two monitors to visualize the images of luggage: one is a black and white monitor while the other is for color-coding;
- - Lead curtains to protect against radiation emitted inside the tunnel;
- - As an option, rollers for baggage loading and downloading operations are provided.
